Cowboys, Indians and Army men on the GloDoodle

Porter set this up and then shot at them. I'd say that's pretty cool.

First day of Mother's Day Out

They did AWESOME. No one cried. Porter just didn't want me taking his picture.

As soon as we got to school it was all smiles. They love their teacher Mrs. Jennifer!

What the kids are doing/saying

This is a rundown of the things Abigail and Porter are doing and saying. There are so many, but this is the short list.

Starting in June and ending in Sept.

Porter
Started the summer wearing pull ups at night.....now he's wearing big boy underwear and pretty much staying dry 70% of the time.
"I'm not a monkey, I'm a Porter"
"Abbey, get out of the street"
Throws a baseball VERY well.
Jumps in pool and swims with face under water.
Knows Carey, mine and Abigail's name and asks others their name.
We didn't know Porter knew hot to count to ten until he was playing hide and go seek with Daddy.
Draws very good circles and knows all of his shapes and colors.
Buckles himself in!
"I beat" (I'm beat)
Listens in school and sits at the front during story time.
Says his prayer "Dear Jesus, thank you for our day. We love you. Amen" and sings "Jesus Loves Me"

Abigail
"I'll miss you. Don't Cry."
"Damnit"
"Buddy drive me crazy"
"Dad, do you cry?"
When I was at the dentist she told me "Just relax"
"Oh no! I not as tall as you!"
Traces letters very well. Colors well also.
Jumps in pool and swims with face under water.
Knows our names and asks other people theirs.
Learned the sign language for I Love You and uses it.
Puts her baby to bed and kisses her.
"We going to Chili's?"
"Thanks, Mom" after helping her blow her nose.
Buckles herself in!

Summer is winding down

This summer wasn't as bad as last summer. We had 69 days of 100+ degrees last summer with no rain. This summer has been bearable and we have received a decent amount of rain. We have kept ourselves busy with swimming at least 4-5 times per week. The kids started out with floaties at the beginning of summer, but do not use them unless we ask them to put them on to give us a break.

Last year they wouldn't even put ON the floaties.

They dive to the bottom of the pool to retrieve dive sticks and fishies. They even jump off the landing into the pool.

Thanks to my mom's condo for not selling this summer! I don't know what I would have done.

Lunch with Buzz and Belle

There are some days where we are just plain bored. Today was one of those days. So we headed up to the Disney outlet.

Then we ate at Chilli's. When we were headed out to the parking lots Abigail asked "We going to eat at Chili's?" How can I turn THAT request down?
