For the very busy mother......

This was posted by Gwen, a blogmomma I visit regularly. You can visit her site by scrolling down on the right under my other blogs I visit. Read the amazing story about her daughter Ivey.
This from her post:
I thought I might share the calendar that I use for scheduling. It is g.r.e.a.t and small enough to carry in my purse or diaper bag. It is called Amy Knapp’s Family Organizer. It has a monthly calendar followed by weekly lists, a to-do list on each page and a grocery and menu list on each page. If you like organization…this is the calendar for you! You can check it out at www.thefamilyorganizer.com.
So, this morning as I was flipping through my calendar it stopped on a page near the end of the calendar…Amy Knapp’s Family Story. Now why would you put your family story in a calendar? But, one sentence caught my attention…Our blessings can sometimes seem mixed. My initial thought was, “You’ve got that right”. So, I read her family story and guess what? She has a special need daughter and created the calendar because she could not find one to address her many medical appointments and family obligations. I guess that is why this calendar has been so helpful for me. If you are like me just trying stay afloat and in the right place at the right time, definitely check this calendar out. I got mine at Barnes and Noble.

LOTS of pics from the past few days......

Porter with his monkey.

We went to visit our friends, Jack and Caden. After we returned I let the kids play with the monkey in their diapers.

Fun fun fun.

Abbey running with her monkey in tow.

Mommy, please put my monkey on my back.

Runnin' runnin' runnin'!

Trying to sit in the baby's stroller.

Tonsil check.

Look at me everyone.

Do the hulk Abbey. She'll clinch her fists when you ask her to do the hulk.

Playing with mommy and daddy's scarves.

Mommy's earmuffs.

I love the mittens!

Sleeping with vacuums.

I have Lightnin' and 'Mater to protect me. And Grover and Bear.

Lunchtime. Look how big my feet are getting!
And here is Abbey getting a pea on her fork. Yeah babygirl! You are so smart!

Today, my friend Sarah's mom, Jeanne, passed away of leukemia. She was an outstanding woman. I am so sorry Sarah. Here is a picture of Jeanne and her husband, Jim. They raised two wonderful children and were really enjoying their lives as "empty-nesters". Jeanne was an avid tennis player and had many friends all over the place. I just remember her as such a gracious woman. She was always so kind to me whenever I would call their house. Here is her Caring Bridge Site. Please go to her site to see how awesome this woman was.

From around the house this past weekend
It's been cold and drizzly so we basically camped out inside. Of course we got our dose of Annie, Music Man and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Abigail in dad's shoes.

Just puttzing around the house helping mommy.

Not quite awake. With Bear of course.

Cozy and warm.

Time Flies
It's that time again folks. We are walking May 10th here in beautiful Austin. Sadly we have another baby to walk for. Our friend's, the Cheathams, sadly lost one of their precious babies (they had 24 weeker triplets - see their blog on my list) to premature birth. Her name is Evan and we will be walking in her name this year. Carey and I, along with Abigail and Porter, will be walking again this year and hope to make this a tradition. Thank you for your support! Click on link at top right of blog to donate.

Here are some pics from this weekend.
Porter will sit for about 15-20 minutes and work on his puzzle. His attention span is pretty good I think. He will try over and over again to get the pieces in the right spot.

Porter running towards mom. Abigail the computer tech. Carey spent a whole day fixing the PC cords and baby proofing the kitchen cabinets and drawers. Thank you!

Porter and Abigail in the sunlight. I just love these pictures.

Our House
4 square foot house. Low rent.

While we were asleep, mommy used her exacto-knife skills and made us this house. Complete with masking tape trim, mailbox and porch light.

The side view.

Welcome to our house!

Hi Mommy!

Wow, this house is great.

"Who's there?"

"We'll use it for practice space."

Extended Christmas from Oklahoma Santa Claus

Well, Oklahoma Grandparents and Uncle Matt made it to town. Boy did they come bearing gifts. They brought the kids a slide, a baby doll with a stroller, a workbench, clothing, lunch pails, house shoes and building blocks. They even brought Carey and I a new television. Thank you so much for your generosity towards us and the kids.

Grandma getting some Abigail time.

Grandpa with his hands full.

Abbey opening her baby doll. You'd think she would have been all over the baby. Well she was all over the baby's stroller. Abigail wanted to ride in the stroller and if you put the baby in it, she would throw a fit and take the baby doll out and fling her across the room.

"Get ready to get neglected. "

"My stroller."

Abbey in her new Princess slippers from Uncle Matt.

Dad helping Abigail put her baby in the stroller.

Abbey playing with brother's house shoes.

Abigail and her Princess lunch pail.

BOXES!!!

Grandpa helping Abbey with the velcro pieces.

Grandpa and a tired Porter.

Uncle Matt.

Papa and Porter

Grandpa, Grandma and Carey. We all just sat back and watched the kids go to town with their new toys.
Our day at the Austin Children's Museum

Abbey having some lunch.

Abbey in the children's corral.

Abigail playing with the toys.

Porter putting the golf ball in the whole and watching it come down the hills.

Discovering the vacuum.

Up on the corral steps.

Putting the hose through the window.

Abigail and Mom up in the engineer room. You could press a bunch of sounds a train makes.

At Zilker Park after the train ride. In Uncle Matt's arms.

Tired Grandpa or tired Porter?
