Abigail in Black and White

Porter in Black and White
Escape Plan
This is what Porterman can do now. He's planning his escape. Lovely! He'll be standing in no time at all!

Doctor Doctor
The kids had their 9 month check up on Friday. Porter weighs in at 18lbs 6ozs (25th percentile) He is 28.5 inches long. (50th percentile). Miss Abigail weighs 15lbs 5.5ozs (15th percentile) and is 27.5 inches long (50th percentile) The percentile is based on all the babies out there. For example: Out of all the babies 85% of the babies weigh more than Abigail. Doctor Alfaro said the babies could start on Cheerios! Yeah! And they can also have ground beef and noodles. Yippee! She said the babies are looking really good and that we, as parents, are doing exactly what she wants to see.

Warning #2 in a series of 1000's
I cannot be responsible for the permament smile on your faces!
Abigail and Porter went to the park and got to swing for the first time. The weather was beautiful and there were lots of kids at the park. I think they really liked it.

Daddy and Me

Daddy always plays airplane with Abigail. She loves it. She still has yet to barf on dad when doing this, so the chance of this occurring gets greater and greater every time. Could she be a happier baby? Their check up is tomorrow, so I'll post weights and length then.
Nice "tickets-to-the-gun-show" shirt, Carey :)

Confession Time

Ok, ok, ok. Someone better fess up here. Did someone give Porter Miracle Gro or what? This kid's sproutin' like a weed! He now has a big upper tooth coming in. # 8 to be exact. I can see it when I lean him back and tickle him. It's puffy and red and you can barrrrrrely see the tip of the tooth. He'll be eating momma's meatloaf before we know it. Not that you need teeth to eat my meatloaf! Note: Isn't it tempting to want to reach inside the computer and love on this baby?

Fun Weekend
Here are some more pics from the weekend. Carey and I played with the kids in their room. Different change of scenery. Porter and dad played with the baseball and bat. Carey and Abigail played with the bowls and blocks. Mom took pictures. Porter liked rolling the ball around the room and he could even pick it up with one hand.

Abigail sitting on daddy's stomach.

Wrestle-mania XXVII......in the living room! No babies were hurt in the filming of this event!

I love the zipper on this sweater! I can also sense someone staring at me behind my back!

Sunday Afternoon
The sun came out Sunday. It got up to 60 degrees. We got the kids dressed and headed to the park. There were quite a few people out enjoying the weather as well. Porter slept the whole way. Abigail caught a few Z's herself. They sure like the jogger.

It's all Porter
Today Porter crawled across the living room. He's everywhere now when he's in his crib. There's no stopin' him now. Last night he had his lips sucked up to the musical fishies. He was blowing bubbles on it. He thought that was pretty cool until it kept going off; he has his hand on the button but couldn't quite figure that out. We can also see a top tooth coming in. That's gotta hurt. He was little fussy last night. So we'll be watching for the big toothies.

Blowfish Face
Abigail on her changing table. This is what she does now when she wants her bottle! How cute is that?

Flashback Friday
Carey on the couch with both kids. This was taken in June of 2006. The next photo is the children at the Thrivent Picnic this summer. The bibs say Thrivent. Can you say product placement? The last 2 photos were taken at the Luau our realtor had this summer. They are just precious with their leis on. Enjoy!

Good Morning
Porter sure loves his music table that Aunt Beth handed down to the kids. We've had it for awhile but the kids could only play with it turned sideways. So we put it away for awhile. This morning we got it out and Mr. Porter can baaaaaaaaarely see over the top. Hilarious. He's so determined to get a sound out of it. Abigail of course will follow when she's able to sit up. C'mon Miss Abigail! She's content to play with her books and stuffed bear.

Abigail
Sweet Abigail is on the move now. No more staying on the blanket. She's got better things to do than that! Her favorite toys are the scrunchy book, her colored stack rings and her piano. It's the piano that says Peek a Boo after you press a few keys. She loves it. She tightens up her whole body and clinches her fists when she's upset. Oh boy. Is this only the beginning?

Winter Wonderland
Where I come from (Tulsa), I am very familar with ice, sleet and snow. Here in Austin, we usually don't see this kind of weather. Until this week. Of course it's not like what they're getting in Oklahoma or Missouri. We have a very thin layer of ice on the streets but on the cars it's a different story. We have about a 1/2 inch layer of ice on the cars. Since Carey's not too familar with having to defrost a car, I helped him defrost it while he got ready for work. Such a great wife, yes, I know. Enjoy the photos of Ice Storm '07. That's the name they gave this storm on the news. They haven't seen an ice storm.

The bird feeder even has ice.

Ice on tree limbs.

Tasty Treats
Abigail got to try one of those teething biscuits. She loved it. It was maple flavored so she smelled like maple all day. She just leaves it in her mouth without using her hands and sucks on it. Smart baby. And here is another pic of dad being silly with those plastic bowls. I wonder what they're thinking when they see one another?

Silly Dad
This is what 3 days cooped up in the house will do to ya!
These are bowls that the kids had in NICU to keep their little items in such as diaper ointment and gauze napkins. I've saved them. And it's a good thing cause they have come in handy for the kids to play with. It teaches them to place items into the bowls and to find the items in them also. I think Abigail got a kick out the bowls. It's always the simple things children want to play with.

Caterpillar Cry

You can't hear the caterpillar very well, but whenever she starts singing, Abbey cries. Breaks your heart, but funny at the same time.

Happy 3/4 Year Birthday Kiddos
My sweet, sweet children. Mommy and Daddy love you very much. We love watching you grow and explore. We love sneaking in to your room at night and hovering over each of your cribs as you sleep. Sometimes we point and giggle at the positions you now get yourselves in. We promise to always be right by your side.
Love,
Mom and Dad

Glee!

I want that camera, lady!

Crazy Socks!

Hey you!

Crazy Socks/Tights Day
Mom and dad got on their crazy socks and stuffed Abbey in her crazy tights for grandma's birthday party. Poor Porter. He went sockless. I'll have to search for some crazy socks for him. As you can see, Mr. Porter can sit up unassisted. Miss Abigail is taking her time. It's her own agenda. She sure is on the move when we put her on the blanket. She rolls and rolls and rolls. It's pretty fun to watch her. She likes to lay next to the wall and put her feet up there. We'll have to work on sitting up today. Gotta catch up with the Mister.
