Easter 2011

Kids waking up to their Easter baskets

Riding to church with my dress off so it won't get wrinkled!

I can't believe how grown up Abigail looks in this picture

Then it was time for the Easter egg hunt

Off and running

She didn't want that egg because it was green

Busy Saturday

We trucked it down to Pease park to meet up with Faith and Ben. There was a burn ban, so we ended up not cooking out. Instead we got P.Terry's burgers and headed to the park.

Pease Park has about 25 new trees and is undergoing a facelift. The playground has been resurfaced and the bathroom and getting an overhaul. This is one of Austin's oldest parks.

Then that evening we met Mario, Sarah and Alesandro at Chuy's then headed to Zilker Park for an evening train ride. The weather was perfect.

Carey and Mario. Mario and Carey have been friends for a long time. Mario and his wife moved back from Manhattan and now live in Irving.

Buddy gets real quiet when the train is going. He likes to take it all in.

How old are you Porter?

Going under the bridge is scary!

Porter, Alesandro and Abigail

The kids loved playing with Alesandro. You can tell that Abigail likes to 'mother'.

Adventure painting

I got the kids new paint and brushes for their birthday. I love the Lakeshore paint set that has the airtight lids. No wasted paint. Paint brushes match the cup lids. And the kids can pop open the lids by themselves.
