I am so glad that I started taking the kids to the dentist early. It really has made such a difference in the way the kids react. Abigail cried a bit. But that is normal. She was nervous. She knew where we were as soon as we entered the elevator. Porter was easy as pie. As soon as we got into the office, the kids made a beeline for the fish tank. We only waited a few minutes and then it was our turn. I had visions of me having to pick up the kids and take them into the room. But they followed me. Abigail still crying of course.
She went first and I was right there. Both kids got a prophy cleaning with the real dental instrument that spins and some good teeth cleaner.
They even scraped her teeth a bit. She kept saying "All done."
Porter went next and put on a fake cry. He did beautifully. I am so proud of him.
While Abigail was getting her teeth cleaned I guess one of the ladies heard her crying and came in with a balloon. She had the biggest eyes and looked at me like "Mom, there is a balloon in the room!" She was so darn cute. Bubby loved his balloon and kept letting it go only to make us fetch it off the ceiling 10 times. He gave this little pink doggy for Abigail to hold onto while she cried. So sweet.
Dr. Tate checked them out and they got very good check ups. Abigail still sucks her fingers and we laughed (I did, not Dr. Tate) at the calluses on her two fingers. This is something she did in utero and this has continued to be her pacifier ever since. No wonder she sleeps so soundly.
I am so proud of the 2 kids.

Here I am being very brave. And I am freaking out that I have a balloon.

Dr. Tate making me smile. Porter, I am so proud of you. You didn't mind this at all.

We got balloons!

Our hygienist Rebekah. Abigail is pointing at her shoes. She had on cool shoes.

Still can't quite believe I have a balloon.

Trekking across the parking lot with our balloons on a windy day.

Then we had lunch with daddy!

This is my ring I got to pick out at Dr. Tate's office. Bubby got a bouncy ball.

At home with our balloons.

Then it hailed. Pretty good sized hail too.

Backyard.
