Camping IN
We got a tent for the living room. So now the kids get to 'camp out' on Fridays or Saturdays.
Cars 2
Took the kids to see Cars 2. It was pretty good. Not as cool as the first one though. Sequels just aren't like the first ones, although I will say Toy Story 3 was great! Kids had a huge bowl of popcorn. NEVER USE YOUR CELL PHONE IN THE ALAMO!!!!
$1.8 Million Splash Quarry
No downfall in the economy here. They just spent a ton of money putting in a cool splash park in Williamson County. Waterfalls, slides, spray guns and fountains. AstroTurf too. No grass to mow. There's also a huge sand pit. (Up the road from our house)

VBS 2011
We had a blast at Vacation Bible School this year. Over 500 kids! The theme was God is Wild About You! (Thank you God!!!) I got to be the leader of a 3 year old class. Porter and Abigail were in the 'big kid' class. I would see them periodically throughout the day. They would shout and point at me "There's my Mom!" Made my heart so happy.
Each day there was a special bible verse and the kids got to learn the bible story that went with the verse. They also received little bible buddies to take home each day. It was a lot of fun but boy were we worn out at the end of the week! Our goal at VBS was to obviously teach the children that God cares for you and hears you.....but our main goal was to seek out the kids who had never even heard of God or realized that He cares!

The mother deer had her baby right in the flowerbed next to Grammie and Papa's house in Georgetown. It was really neat to see. She was only 4 hours old in this picture. When we came back from swimming, the momma had come by the help it up and took her into the woods.

Dog Days
We joined our neighborhood pool around June-ish. The kids can't touch and must wear their floaties. BORING! I think we went twice.
We hiked it up the road to Georgetown and joined the rec center up there. MUCH nicer and the kids can be independent in the water......increasing their swimming skills. These kids are like fish. They jump off the side of the pool no less than 100 times every time we go.

Porter playing on the fountain. He is totally in love with his Spiderman 'gobbles' and wear those all the time. He dives to the bottom of the pool and retrieves rockets and fishies. He's a really good swimmer. He's ALWAYS playing with older kids too.

My friend Amanda and her two boys came down last month. We did so much stuff. We were all worn out. But we had a lot of fun too. We went to eat at Guero's Taco Bar on South Congress, swam at Deep Eddy, caught a Round Rock Express game, ate at La Chalapa downtown, rode the CapMetro train and had beers at the Black Star Co-op and Brewery.
Deep Eddy. Spring fed.....always a refreshing 72 degrees. Kids can swim without floaties because the first part only goes to 3 feet.
