What's Happenin'
Abigail and Porter love books. I'm so glad they do. I put them to bed each night with a book. Sometimes they'll look at the book while turning the pages. Some nights we read before we go to bed. Nighttime is such a whirlwind we're gonna have to start making each night story night. I've bought several Golden Books for them. Barnyard Animals, The Story of Jesus and Farmer Brown's Birthday. My mom said they used to be $.25. Now they are $2.99. Oh well. Inflation.

Our new reading corner

Abigail, you're a fashion nightmare

Everytime she wears this hat I think of the guy that hosted the Gong Show. Chuck something or rather.

The face of WANT. Porter wanted the camera.

Hurt feelings. I'm sorry buddy.

Waiting for the Busy Ball Bopper to do its thing.

You'll be waiting a long time little dude.

This little lady is always on the move. Here she is in the lastet of summer fashions. Diaper by Kirkland. You're so runway Abigail.

Ramblings and rashes
Well Abigail has a rash. It's the hives. Poor thing. She ran a temp a couple of days ago but nothing to be alarmed about. She was really blotchy last night and didn't sleep well so I took her to see the doc this morning. As long as Abigail had Elmo she was alright. We stopped and got her prescription filled. She had some Benadryl today and now she's in bed feelin' good with Zyrtec. This rash tends to last for up to 4-5 weeks sometimes. We were supposed to take family pics today. This will have to wait.

Order up!

Watching the birdies while we have lunch

Need I say more?

At the fence. Happy at the moment.

Goodnight Porter

More views of the rash. It kept moving all over her body.

La la la la, la la la la. Elmo sure makes everything better I tell ya. But daddy gave me a bath and that helped too.

And so does Lawrence Welk

Our baby boy. He makes me melt.
He looks like a little boy. But he's still my baby.

Swimming at Grammie's with Aunt Pearl
Took the kids over to Grandma's pool. The kids had a blast. Abigail went skinny dipping. The kids had lunch and then took showers afterwards in the outdoor shower. Fun fun! The kids even went underwater. Real fast of course.

Back in the saddle
well I got the 'ol jogger out, washed it up and away we went. We stumbled upon some music in the park so we listened to it for a bit. The kids were everywhere. Porter made friends with a little Miniature Schnauzer. Abigail toddled around the grass too. My mom brought my aunt Pearl (who I havent seen in years) to the park. It was a surprise to say the least. She finally got to meet the kids!

Abigail and her dinosaur

Look at her go. She took this away from Porter.

Ah ha. She left it alone and now it's alllll mine.

Getting weighed

Yep, I'm still gorgeous.

Family fun
Take me out to the ball game
Take me out with the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack
I don't care if I never get back
Let me root, root, root for the home team
If they don't win it's a shame
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out
At the old ball game.

Porter and Abigail got to attend their first ever baseball game. The Round Rock Express played the Utah Bees......Bees? Ok. It was Carey's company picnic. Hot, but fun. The kids got to have ice cream sandwiches too! mmmmmm

New Joe's clothes!

Not too happy. But Porter, you look all cool and stuff.

At the game. Porter with his glove. We'll be catching some fly balls next year buddy.

Morning fun
I know that I sometimes post things that may not be very thrilling. But these pics are also for my family in Tulsa. I want them to see how the kids are growing and learning.

Time for Telletubbies

Precious little legs

Are we comfy yet?

I call that comfort.

My baby boy with his March of Dimes bear he got while in the NICU.
In Action
Ok Porter has been able to climb up on the chair for a long time now. He's reallllllly testing us now. He likes to climb up the back of the chair and try his way onto the icebox. He totally knows what he's doing too. Everytime I walk towards him he just lauuuughs. It's quite funny. I try not to let him know he's intertaining me though. But sometimes I can't help but laugh.

Chuck Norris in action

Where's Abigail?

There she is. Now let brother try to bite you. Yeah, Porter bites. We're trying to stop it. Poor Abigail. Man is he gonna get his someday.

Brotherly and sisterly love.
