Take us back to Tulsa - Part I

We left Austin at 5:45am. Got to Tulsa around 3. Not too bad of a drive. Overcast weather which was nice. No AC the whole time. We had spaghetti and salad and we all stuffed ourselves. Was nice after a long day on the road. Then it was bath time and off to early bedtime.

Wednesday, Carey and I headed out BY OURSELVES to lunch at Cafe Ole on Brookside. It was so mice to be able to sit and talk and just hang out. No kids to worry about and we didn't have to hurry. The weather was awesome. I took Carey to see some of the historic spots in Tulsa. The Cain's Ballroom being one.

And you can't visit without eating at Coney I-Lander.

And Porter didn't want anyone sitting in Papa's chair. Except him.

Thursday we headed to See Dr. Berklacy. I worked for Dr. B back in the day. His practice is very large. His son is at OU and will work with him in the future. Uncle Matt came home tonight from NSU. He will be a junior!

After nap we went to see Jeri and Jason and their boys Noah and Max. The kids had fun playing together. Jeri, Jason and Carey and I actually got to have a good conversation.

Kids playing on the driveway

Friday I got to attend the Joyce Meyer conference for free. I went with Sabrina and met my friend Beck there. We had so much fun and always a great message from Joyce. While I was at the conference, the kids took walks and played at the park.

We went to Mayfest that afternoon. Great weather again. (The rain came later that night)

The kids eventually wanted to push their strollers. They did really good.

The kids played at the Blue Dome while we had a beer and rested

We ate at Joe Momma's Pizza. THE best pizza in Tulsa.

Our new friend the kids made. She was so good with the kids. They loved her. Matt and his girlfriend Britney look on.

Carey and I went to Utica Square to eat at Pepper's. This has been around for years. I think this is the last one open.

And we saw pretty flowers

This is what Abigail was like when we got home. Poor thing. She was really tired. Look how her little pants have gotten short. And her jacket too :(
I'll post Part II tomorrow or maybe tonight. Stay tuned.

Mother's Day 2009

We spent Mother's Day at Carey's parents house. We cooked out and watched the kids play. It was a great day to sit outside on their new covered back porch.

Around the house

The kids love popcorn. It's a snack they can have before bedtime and it doesn't make them climb the walls. They ask for it regularly.

Porter helping Dad unload the dishwasher. Look how big he's getting.

And my sweet little angel asleep. He still has some chub left on him. I love it.

Evening in the park

We headed to the park after dad got home. We mixed things up and got Lime-aids for the kids. They got to hold their very own cup in their car seats.

Porter-isms

Porter comes racing in the backdoor. "Fwowie juice, fwowie juice." I think for a moment. I see the fwowie in his hand. Ah ha! He wants a vase to put it in.
Thank you my love.

At the park with daddy

Sure is nice when Carey takes the kids to the park and let's me have time to do stuff around the house. Of course, I'm cleaning and straightening the whole time.

But the best thing is getting flowers when they come home.
