Enjoying the Christmas Season

The kids have really been enjoying the Christmas season. We have taken advantage of the mild weather we are having. We got to visit Santa Claus at the park and got to go on a hay ride and look at all the pretty lights in our part of the neighborhood. The hayride was organized by one of our dear neighbors, Debbie. She did a great job.

We went to the community center and had hot chocolate and cookies. Those big puffy jackets crack me up.

"Jesus lubs me" No really, she got up all by herself and sang. No help. She got this from seeing the singers in church.

The lady who was playing the guitar was really good and had a beautiful voice. Abigail loved that guitar.





Then we really got the party started when Connor and Abigail took the mics.

What have we been doing?

The colder days have kept us inside, but we still stay busy. Movies, puzzles, blocks, books and baking. We made white chocolate covered pretzels. Kids had a great time.

And Abigail got braids. She has more than enough hair now, so we are trying hairstyles. She looks so cute with them.

Abigail LOVES the book. She'll say "Saymyname" for "Sam I am". Sometimes when she's in bed we can hear her reading the book....."I do not like them!" or "Let me be!"

Most nights after her bath, Abigail likes to "dry hair" and then put on "wips". First we dry her hair and make it all pretty. Then she gets to put the dryer up. Then mom gets out the lip gloss. Abbey likes to take the lid off by herself and apply the gloss. She gets it on just right. Took some practice. Then we do "eyes" where she gets a dab of eyeshadow and then we use the blush brush on our cheeks.

It's fun playing makeup with her. Then she goes and shows Daddy and Porter how pretty she is.

I finally wore a bow for more than a minute!





We visited my friend Nancy, Mila and new baby Phoebe. Kids played together so well. Abigail loved the stroller. Bubby loved the keyboard.
