We dropped the kids off and headed to Belton for the show.

But first...

We stopped off at Schoepf's (pronounced SHUFFS) for some BBQ

Dang good BBQ. We sat outside on the back porch and enjoyed the breeze and of course talked about the kids.

Skynard played all the good ones. This is when they played Super Kind of Man. They dedicated this to the troops and the whole place was in tears. Really great tribute.

Then out came the Boys from Texas, ZZ Top. This is who I came to see. Still the coolest boys in rock 'n roll. They opened with Just Got Paid (appropriate for Friday).

There's nothing better than cozy-ing up on the couch, coloring and having some popcorn on a rainy day.

The incredible growing Abigail

This picture reminds me of the Incredible Shrinking Woman. Ya know? With Lily Tomlin. It also reminds me to be patient and loving towards my children. One day she's gonna get big. She won't fill that chair completely, but she will outgrow my lap. And quickly. Hopefully she won't outgrow my hugs and kisses and I Love you's in Sign Language and the 'I'm gonna miss you, Mommy."

I try to give the kids their own ALONE time. They need it. I'll go out and find this. They'll be sitting there talking about food, or insects, or birds. It's so fun to watch them develop a special relationship.

Abigail is quite the GM. She asks us all the time to play kitchen. What can you say to that? She gets us a chair and we have to order through the window. She even gets out her money. The price for most of the food is .44 cents. She serves the best coffee. Her special this week has been soup.

She usually puts a blanket over the kitchen. I don't know what she's trying to do here. Maybe she's seen something like this. I'll have to ask her. All of the dishes and food have their places too. She doesn't like her kitchen a wreck. Same for Porter.

First stop: Toy concession. Frog: $20. Little Mermaid necklace: $15. Porter takes Frog everywhere. Abigail's necklace is still intact.

Tinkerbell at the end. Even though Grammie and Papa paid for the show, it was WELL worth the money. I am glad we got to go. Thanks Grammie and Papa for our birthday present!
