Animal Crackers

The kids shared their animal crackers with Grandpa Best. Grandpa says they don't taste like they used to. They're probably made in China now. My mom always used to buy me the animal crackers with the handle. Had to have the handle.

Nothin' better than sharing animal crackers with your grandchildren.

Mom's Birthdaypalooza
Grandma, mom, Abigail and Porter headed to Georgetown for lunch. We walked around the square and stopped in a few shops. Abigail got a new purse. Thanks mom for a great day. Thank you to all who called and sent me well wishes. Carey took us to Margarita's for dinner. We walked over and had dinner and margaritas of course. It was short but sweet, right honey? (See, the kids get cranky for a bottle and you have to eat fast) Thank you Carey for the beautiful card from the kids. It's the prettiest card I've ever seen. Props to you.

Birthday Party
Mom and Aunt Beth celebrated birthdays this month. Grandma Sondra had a pool party. We had hot dogs, potato salad, cupcakes, beans and delicious baked goods from mom's neighbor Doreen.

Pepper
While we were away on vacation our little Pepper girl passed away. I knew she was old but I guess I really didn't expect her to go this soon and especially while we were away. It's strange because I've been with all of my animals when they have passed. I just feel sad that I couldn't have been with her, too. I'm sure Annie and Cookie were right there with her or at least that's what I am dreaming of. Pepper, you were the best dog with the kids. You always sat near them when they laid on their blankets, looking over them. Giving them kisses too. You were a great dog. I am so glad that we found you that early morning on our walk. I'm sorry that you've had to take a backseat with the other animals. The kids take alot of our time now, but we still love you. You used to get so excited to see Carey come through the door at night. You would be right there on the arm of the couch just waiting for him to pick you up and snuggle you in his neck. I know he enjoyed that just as much as you did. You were and always will be our Little Schnonkey. Rest peacefully Pepper. We miss you.

Cookout
Grandma and Grandpa really went all out for the cookout. We had BBQ! Woopee! It was so fun to see everyone. Thank you for all you did for us on our vacation ya'll. It is so much appreciated. We'll be back soon!
