Ice cream sandwiches melt fast in the hot Texas sun

Bubby was a bit upset. He's having a hard time expressing his needs as well as Abigail. I know it frustrates him so bad. I think he wanted to open it by himself. But we did it before we even thought about it. He was ok after a bit.

but what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses

4 pairs. According to Abigail it would be "Two Princess, one fwowie and sea horse" sunglasses.

Baby girl and Mom on our lunch date

This is Abigail on our lunch date last weekend when Dad and Porter went to the capitol.

Fruit and bowtie salad. Abigail said "Bow-tie?" Too funny.

Then she didn't want to sit any longer. We had to get up and ride the people mover to the lower level. At first she didn't want to hold my hand but then the closer we got she grabbed it.

The people mover. The best I could do with wrangling a stroller and Hot to Trot.

Bubbles and a Ponytail

I took the kids to Target the other day and they got to pick out bubbles. I let them be somewhat independent and had them scan the items, place them in the bag and then carry their own bag to the car. I think they thought that was pretty cool. I wish Target had toddler sized carts. That'd be fun for the kids.

Porter would pop Abigail's bubbles and after she heard me saying "Porter, leave Sissy's bubbles alone" she said "Bud-dddy! Leave bubbies 'lone!" Such a woman.

We ended the day with a sweet ponytail.

Going to the Capitol with Dad

We decided to seperate the kids on Saturday. We felt the kids needed a break from one another and it would give each of them to be with one of us one on one. It was weird for Abigail and I. More for me I guess. I'm used to us being together everyday. For Carey and Porter is was an adventure. When Carey and Porter were leaving the house, Buddy kept saying Abbey. He had to be carried to the car kicking and screaming. He fell asleep on the way downtown though. Carey said he did great. Abigail and I went to Whole Foods and had lunch and then to get a few items we needed at home.

Steps - What an adventure

Checking the place out. We have been to the Capitol, but the babies were tiny.

Cmon Dad

The best part was Dad taking me to Mighty Fine Burgers. They had lemonade shakes.

Our trip to Austin Nature and Science Center

Austin offers quite a few free things to do with kids. The Science center is one of them. It's located at Zilker Park.

The kids loved walking around and just being in wide open spaces. Touching all the rocks and playing in the sand was good for them.

Bones

Some type of bean

"Nake" - ssssssssssssssssssssssss. This thing was freaky.

We saw a coyote, a hawk, 2 raccoons, a snake, owls of all sorts, a bobcat and an eagle.
