A Very Pretty Day
It was time to get out of the house after all the cold weather. It was time to enjoy a little treat with the kids. We headed to Phil's Ice House. One of our favs.
The kids played for about 1 1/2 hours and took a great nap.

Austin Snow Storm 2011
It started snowing around 3am.
It was enough to put a covering on all the cars, trees, grass and rooftops.
The kids immediately wanted to go out. We got them dressed and bundled up and went outside for about 5 minutes. It was FREEZING!
So all us wimps came in and had hot chocolate

My Buddy
Porter got about 30 minutes of alone time with Mom. he woke before Abigail so I let him get in our bed. I love how he has his little hands.
Ears and Trains
Abigail complained of her ear hurting so I took her to the doctor.
Sure enough, she had the start of an ear infection. First one ever. Both of the kids have never had an ear infection.
As a matter of fact, this is only the second time I've ever had to take them to the doctor besides yearly check ups. They've remained healthy. The doc said it was because I stay home with them.
I thought it was going to thwart our plans we had for the day, but doc said we could still go play but to pick up Abigail's meds before we headed out. So we got the meds and headed downtown on light rail. They now have all day service.
We rode downtown, ate our sack lunch, then rode back.
They know to stay behind the white line
The kids love this train and we will definitely be riding it more now that it runs during the day. The kids ride free too!

Bed time ritual
Carey puts the kids to bed every night. Except Monday when he has practice. But every other single night he bathes the kids and gets them ready for bed. Bath, Scooby Doo and books. I am fortunate to have a great husband who does this and let's me take a break.
