Dying the Easter Eggs

Emme and Ruby came over to help us decorate Easter eggs. Their mom, Christel, dyed some of the eggs by wrapping the eggs in pretty material and boiling them. They turned out really cool. We also painted some of the eggs.

Spreading Easter joy

My friend Heather's mom is a recent double amputee and is currently living at an assisted living home near our house. Heather put together an afternoon of cheering up some of the residents at the assisted living. It was all twins.


At first all of the kids were a little apprehensive. I explained that these people needed some cheering up and that's what we were here to do.

The best part was decorating cookies with the residents. What a fun morning and a great chance to share in the Easter joy.

We dropped by the mailbox on the way home from school and there were cards from Uncle Matt and Britney.

There was a princess card with a real wand for Abigail

and a pirate's eye patch for Porter

Then after our nap we painted our houses that Grammie Joyce and Papa Mike got us

Palm Sunday

The kids went up to the front all by themselves. I stayed with them in the narthex and then walked with them, but they went up front alone. They did GREAT!
