Bless his heart.
We got up on a Saturday and Porter threw up a bit. We thought maybe he just choked or it was some weird fluke. But then he got sick again. He threw up all day and some that evening. we gave him a small bucket and he used that bucket every time without missing. By Sunday morning we thought he was ok. He was playing in his room for a bit then went and got in his chair and he went down hill fast. By late in the afternoon on Sunday he started running a fever. So I took him to Urgent Care where his temp was 102.2. The doctor also gave him an IV. She said he was dehydrated. Poor guy. He also got a shot to help with the vomiting. Worked like a charm. They had to poke him twice on one arm and once on the other to get the IV started, but he was such a brave little guy. I know that hurts when someone sticks an IV in your vein. He whimpered through the whole IV but did really well when they gave him tons of stickers and a cool blue bandage on his arm. (He finally took that off after 8 days) The nurses kept saying what a beautiful boy he was. well, OF COURSE!
He talked my leg off on the way home. He pointed at all the lights and talked about Christmas. We got him home and gave him a bath and clean jammies and he went straight to sleep. He was slow to recover but did well on day 3 after the urgent care visit.

Feeling like if he talked he would throw up. Just such a sad face.
Then Abigail got it, but not as bad. Just a little upset tummy and some light vomiting. She recovered quickly.
